Today we going to do something special...
Yeah! were going to a Friday prayer (Jumma) Saf told me about it and asked me to come. I hope most of the kids will come with us, Cle? The one who wanted to spent more time with her sisters and missed the Islam culture in the Family is going OUT, out to Square One, shopping! She left early this morning. Sigh and a snort
I'm looking forward to go to the prayer, it's something special and I have the chance to pray in a very close atmosphere. The men pray with the men and the women pray with the women. I want to pray, and what do I want to pray about? I don't know yet. I should write it down on a paper. I want this to be perfect!
Tomorrow I will tell you how it went...
Yesterday? Yesterday was not much new, a bit of same ol' same ol.'Nice sunny weather, we did some householding stuff, a nap, a came friend sleeping over, dishes, laundry, and Saf and I went out to 'karaoke' to sing a few songs. The pub was not full but had a nice crowd, a crowd we knew, it was nice and felt comfy.
Sometimes I wonder how it is or what's the difference between having daughters or sons. Are daughters easier then sons? Or are sons easier. Being around 4 girls and 1 son, I noticed diffence, difference in there behaviour. The daughters are closer to the Mother, that's easy. They talk about women or girly stuff, normal behaviour, between Mom's and Daughters.
Am I okay with that? Sure am, but, one thing bothers me a bit, I asked Saf, 'Why do they always ask for you, or talk with you"? "I would like to be a part of the conversation too" or I would like to have a long talk with them too about life or there schools, give them advice or just be there."Saf answered, "It's women stuff." Ofcource I can have a conversation with them, but who are they gonna talk to when they have women problems or boyfriend problems? Mom ofcource!
Fathers and daughters facts...
Most children’s books, TV programs, and movies send the message that fathers and daughters are not supposed to know each other as well or spend as much time together as mothers and daughters.
Daughters who are raised by single fathers are just as well adjusted and as happy as daughters raised by single mothers.
Fathers and daughters are usually closer when the mother works full time outside the home while the children are growing up.
The more hours a mother works and the higher her income, the more time the father spends with their children.
Most fathers want to spend more time with their children, but can’t because of their jobs.
More Facts...
(1) Eighty percent of the fathers in our country earn most of the money for their
families.
(2) Counting the time spent commuting, working, doing house and yard work, and being with the kids, the average father has 5 hours less free time each week than the average employed mother.
(3)On average, employed fathers work 10 more hours a week than employed mothers.
Many fathers believe that their wives and daughters’ feelings for them are partly—or sometimes largely—based on money.
A father usually has a closer relationship with his kids when the mother lets everyone in the family know how much she appreciates his ways of parenting—especially if his way of relating to the kids isn’t exactly like hers.
A daughter has a better relationship with her father when her mother does not rely on her for advice or comfort on adult issues—especially issues involving the parents’ relationship with each other.
When parents are unhappily married, most children side with their mother against their father.
Sadly, there are mothers who feel uncomfortable or jealous with the idea that their daughter might share as much time or as much personal information with her father as she does with her mother.
